The Flame Index is a patent-pending proprietary algorithm which pulls in data every second, 24 hours per day from over 12,000 news sources and ranks companies based on the coverage they receive. To date over 1 million articles have been evaluated, and the index is continually expanding by adding relevant news sources and companies from search engine results.
Company news and statistics are both tracked and stored in real-time in the Flame Index data warehouse, and are available for aggregation in real-time or at set intervals. Statistics can be plotted and analyzed against stock data such as volume, price and percent change.
